Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced problem solver who thrives on finding answers to the most complex web-based technical issues. The ideal candidate will like debugging code, enjoy solving issues by reverse engineering techniques and prototyping solutions. We are looking for a developer with an applied skill set in online programming who is ready to work in an exciting environment that exposes you to diverse technical issues on daily basis. Candidates must be highly motivated, a self-starter, have the willingness to wear multiple hats and enjoy being a productive team player.
Responsibilities include working directly with customers to respond to technical issues and questions via phone and email and track issues to complete and thorough resolution. Review and debug code, trace network connections, and provide clear communications of resolutions and technical instructions; analyze technical trends for product and documentation enhancements; provide escalated technical and triage support for other team members; and actively contribute to our online community and knowledge database for up-to-date customer information and solutions. This individual will also work closely with our Engineering, Product Management and QA teams to increase customer satisfaction by providing critical feedback and assistance for product enhancements.
Qualifications and Required Experience
Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Engineering degree preferred)
5 + years in online technical problem solving
Proven analytical / problem solving ability.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively, both written and oral
Solid understanding of internet technologies including networking, firewalls & proxy servers
On-call experience.
Technical Experience
Strong technology background with a comprehensive knowledge of PC-based (Mac a plus) applications and basic network applications, including knowledge of browser compatibility issues.
Proficiency in web-based technologies, including HTML, XML, FTP and Flash.
Proficiency and working knowledge of Action script (AS3) and Java script.
Proven success and experience with API implementation
Experience in online video and rich media technologies
Exposure to video encoding applications
Exposure to CRM and CDN applications
Exposure and working knowledge in at least one other programming language including Java, PHP, Ruby, or .Net .
Working knowledge of Internet Networking processes
