Quality Assurance Engineer, Cambridge MA
Description
Due to company growth, our client in Cambridge MA is actively seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. To qualify for this position, you should be an experienced QA Engineer with a solid work history, strong academic background, some coding experience, and in-depth knowledge of Junit or Flexunit. Candidate must be a able to adapt to changes quickly in an Agile engineering environment.
Due to company growth, our client in Cambridge MA is actively seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. Responsibilities
- Work closely with developers to plan, build and test high performance applications.
- Work with product management to identify use case scenarios and create and execute test plans to validate use cases.
- Identify test automation opportunities and tools to automate both unit and functional tests.
- Help grow the Flex and Java test automation suites.
- Find and report product usability issues, defects and incompatibilities.
- Configure and maintain Linux, Windows and Macintosh based test systems.
- Help develop test standards and procedures.
- Be a contributor to the development of the QA test frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of Software QA experience in an n-tier Java/Linux environment (Apache, Tomcat, Oracle)
- Prior experience with scripting test automation
- Coding experience with Java
- Good working knowledge of SQL and XML
- Excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies
- Strong analytical skills with strong problem solving abilities
- Experience troubleshooting problems and isolating defects

Position Overview:
Our North-Shore based client is looking to fill a permanent position for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. This position is available due to strong company growth.
Responsibilities include:
• Build and support test cases and test plans for enterprise-wide applications and systems.

This is a full-time permanent position. Our client in Lexington is in the beginning stages of a major Eclipsys EMR Implementation, and they are looking to hire 4 Systems Analysts to work under the Project Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
* Ability to plan and execute tasks in order to complete the successful implementation of Eclipsys EMR.
* Work with teams in areas of clinical, documentation, operational, workflow and IT to support departmental processes and functions.
* Deliver high quality work within established timeframes.
* Work with the user community to fully understand business requests, and develop functional business requirements as needed that adhere to IT Project Methodology.
* Advise on system features and/or facilitates communication either within IT or with vendor(s) on options to address the business requests.
Requirements:
Education: A Bachelors Degree is required.
