Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Bedford, MA

This is a full-time permanent position, available due to company growth. Reporting to the Director of Software Quality Assurance, the selected candidate will provide hands-on Project Leadership for company's test automation/API testing process.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Act as Software QA Project Leader on projects.
* Represent QA at project/product team meetings and steering committee.
* Develop overall project QA strategy and approach.
* Mentor QA engineers.
* Develop and execute detailed test specifications.
* Maintain test scenarios and test data for projects
* Work closely with project team throughout the project software development life cycle.
* Review all project documentation including requirements, technical specification, project validation deliverables reviews and project walk-troughs.
* Participate in software defect review meetings. Monitor and maintain automated software
defect tracking database.
* Help create Standard Operating Procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 4 years of QA Lead/Management experience (8+ years overall QA experience)
* Proven and recent experience with Test Automation or API testing
* Knowledge of Java, C++, or SQL
* Relational database experience, ideally Oracle
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience

To qualify for this position, you should be an experienced QA Engineer with a solid work history, strong academic background, some coding experience, and in-depth knowledge of Junit or Flexunit. Responsibilities

Work closely with developers to plan, build and test high performance applications.

Help grow the Flex and Java test automation suites.
Find and report product usability issues, defects and incompatibilities.

Qualifications

Our North-Shore based client is looking to fill a permanent position for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. This position is available due to strong company growth.

Responsibilities include:
• Build and support test cases and test plans for enterprise-wide applications and systems.
• Utilize test automation tools for stress, performance, and functional testing.
• Analyze testing results for compliance with project specifications and requirements.
• Track and report defects.
• Work with Software Developers to troubleshoot defects.
• Mentor Junior Software and QA Engineers.

Required qualifications include:
• Bachelor's Degree (ideally in Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years experience as a Software QA Engineer in both Unix & Windows environments. Also requires experience with various Web technologies, including Apache, Tomcat, Oracle, HTTP, XML, HTML, etc.
• 3+ years experience using automation testing tools (Silk Test, LoadRunner, QuickTestPro )
• Must be able to develop a complex test infrastructure using languages such as C++, Java, or C#
• 2+ years using automated build and test execution systems.

This is a full-time permanent position. Our client in Lexington is in the beginning stages of a major Eclipsys EMR Implementation, and they are looking to hire 4 Systems Analysts to work under the Project Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
* Ability to plan and execute tasks in order to complete the successful implementation of Eclipsys EMR.
* Work with teams in areas of clinical, documentation, operational, workflow and IT to support departmental processes and functions.
* Deliver high quality work within established timeframes.
* Work with the user community to fully understand business requests, and develop functional business requirements as needed that adhere to IT Project Methodology.
* Advise on system features and/or facilitates communication either within IT or with vendor(s) on options to address the business requests.

Requirements:
Education: A Bachelors Degree is required.

MUST HAVE experience implementing several large scale EMR projects. Eclipsys experience is a 'plus' but we will consider any major EMR package experience. Clinical/ Nursing experience also a plus.
